Article Abstract

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4 RD), first described in 2001, as a case of autoimmune pancreatitis, is a multisystemic condition, involving the salivary glands, bile ducts, pancreas, retroperitoneal organs, and mesentery and is associated with raised level of serum IgG4. Reports of coronary involvement by IgG4 RD are scarce and we could find only 16 case reports in the literature. Here, we present a case of a 61-year-old lady, with no known comorbidities, who presented with rapid progression of coronary artery stenosis. Initially, she presented with mild stenosis of left anterior descending which rapidly progressed to significant triple vessel disease in 3 months. Serological workup for antibodies was negative, except for raised serum IgG4 antibodies. She was managed effectively with steroids.

Background: Anti-integrin αvβ6 IgG autoantibodies showed good sensitivity and optimal specificity in ulcerative colitis (UC) compared to controls. We aim at confirming the diagnostic accuracy of anti-integrin αvβ6 autoantibodies in an Italian multicentric cohort.

Methods: This observational multicentric study included adult and pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease and controls.

Autoimmune nodopathies: emerging insights and clinical implications.

Curr Opin Neurol

October 2025

Neuromuscular Diseases Unit, Department of Neurology, IR SANT PAU, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, CIBERER, Barcelona, Spain.

Purpose Of Review: Autoimmune nodopathies (AN) are a recognized distinct group of immune-mediated peripheral neuropathies with unique immunopathological features and therapeutic implications. This review synthesizes recent advances in their pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management, which have refined their clinical classification and informed targeted treatment strategies.

Recent Findings: AN are characterized by autoantibodies targeting surface proteins in the nodal-paranodal area (anti-contactin-1, anti-contactin-associated protein 1, anti-neurofascin-155, anti-pan-neurofascin), predominantly of IgG4 subclass.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate Histoplasma seroprevalence and associated risk factors in free-roaming cats from 2 endemic regions: north central Oklahoma and eastern Tennessee.

Methods: Seroprevalence was determined using frozen serum samples from trap, neuter, release programs in Tennessee (n = 426) and Oklahoma (200) from 2013 to 2024. For Tennessee samples, those with complete signalment information were included.

Background: Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein immunoglobulin G (MOG-IgG) positivity has been reported in some people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS), posing a diagnostic challenge. However, most studies have been conducted in predominantly Caucasian populations. We aimed to determine the frequency of MOG-IgG in a large, predominantly Asian MS cohort using a validated MOG-IgG assay.

To dynamically monitor the changes in measles antibody levels in children with tumors pre-and post-chemotherapy, and to evaluate the necessity of revaccination with measles-containing vaccines post-chemotherapy A prospective cohort study was conducted. Children with tumors under 15 years old who were hospitalized in the Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine from January 2022 to December 2023 were included as the case group; healthy children of the same age from the community during the same period were included as the control group. Blood samples were collected from the case group before chemotherapy and at 1 month and 6 months after chemotherapy, as well as from the control group.
