Quantum imaging with undetected light (QIUL) leverages the quantum correlations of photon pairs generated via spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) to retrieve both amplitude and phase information of an object. This method enables illumination and detection at distinct wavelength ranges, utilizing advanced detection technology in the visible spectrum while probing the object at an exotic wavelength. Here, we experimentally demonstrate a QIUL technique incorporating Fourier off-axis holography within a hybrid-type induced-coherence nonlinear interferometer. Our approach reconstructs the amplitude and phase information of an object in a single shot using a wide-field configuration, presenting a viable alternative to multi-frame acquisition techniques such as phase-shifting holography.

Skeletal dysplasia includes numerous genetic disorders marked by abnormal bone and cartilage growth, causing various spinal issues. The 2023 nosology identifies 771 distinct dysplasias involving 552 genes, with achondroplasia being the most common and significantly affecting the spine. Other disorders include type II collagenopathies, sulphation defects, Filamin B disorders, and osteogenesis imperfecta, presenting with short stature, limb deformities, joint contractures, and spinal abnormalities.

The morphological vulnerability of atherosclerotic plaques, such as fluttering motion under pulsatile flow, poses diagnostic challenges in conventional fractional flow reserve (FFR) assessment. In this study, we investigate the hemodynamic impact of a fluttering plaque using a physical model of mild (40%) stenosis with and without an elastic plaque under stenotic flow. High-speed particle image velocimetry (PIV) and differential pressure measurements were employed to characterize flow patterns and pressure drop waveforms.

Sigmoid volvulus is an uncommon cause of intestinal obstruction, typically affecting older adults. Its association with chronic schistosomiasis is exceptionally rare, and the causal relationship remains unclear. We report a case of sigmoid volvulus in a 22-year-old male immigrant from Guinea, which led to the incidental diagnosis of chronic infection.
