Article Abstract

In autoimmunity, an imbalance of effector (T) and regulatory (T)T cells contributes to inflammation and tissue destruction. CD2, highly expressed on T and at lower levels on T and naive T cells (T), is an attractive target for depleting T at sites of inflammation. SBT115301 is a second generation CD2-targeting fusion protein containing the cognate receptor of CD2, lymphocyte function associated antigen-3 (LFA-3; CD58). In and studies, SBT115301 preferentially decreased CD2-expressing T cells compared to T and T. In a phase 1 clinical trial, SBT115301 selectively reduced memory T cells. SBT115301 was well tolerated aside from decreases of CD4 T cells in some participants in the highest dose IM and IV cohorts. Anti-drug antibodies decreased exposure of SBT115301 in some participants without affecting the pharmacodynamics. These data support further study of SBT115301 as a monotherapy or in combination with other drugs in autoimmune indications.

Background: Gait impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD) occurs early and pharmaceutical interventions do not fully restore this function. Visual cueing has been shown to improve gait and alleviate freezing of gait (FOG) in PD. Technological development of digital laser shoe visual cues now allows for visual cues to be used continuously when walking.

August 2025

Cardiovascular Center and Divisions of Cardiology and Hospital Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, National Taiwan University Hospital, No.7, Chung Shan S Rd, Taipei, 100225, Taiwan, 886 2-2312-3456.

Background: Photoplethysmography (PPG) signals captured by wearable devices can provide vascular age information and support pervasive and long-term monitoring of personal health condition.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to estimate brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) from wrist PPG and electrocardiography (ECG) from smartwatch.

Methods: A total of 914 wrist PPG and ECG sequences and 278 baPWV measurements were collected via the smartwatch from 80 men and 82 women with average age of 63.

This study was designed to investigate the switch between the open-source automated insulin delivery (OS-AID) system AndroidAPS (AAPS) and commercially available AID systems Control-IQ (CIQ) and MiniMed 780G (780G) conducted in a new extended follow-up study. In this prospective open-label single-arm clinical trial, 41 adults with type 1 diabetes (age 35 ± 11 years, glycated hemoglobin [HbA1c] 6.4 ± 2.

To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of non-HPV-related common differentiated penile squamous cell carcinoma, and to observe and analyze the changes of TP53 gene and the expression and significance of TP53, P16, programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), androgen receptor (AR), human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2), and Ki67 proteins in tumor tissue. A total of 65 patients with penile squamous cell carcinoma diagnosed from May 2008 to May 2020 in Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital were retrospectively analyzed, and tumors were confirmed as non-HPV-associated common differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the penis with negative HPV molecular tests in 55 patients. The relevant clinicopathological data of 55 patients were collected, and the TP53 gene mutation was detected by applying first-generation sequencing technology.
