Background: TikTok became an increasingly popular platform for mental health discussions during a major global stressor (COVID-19 pandemic). On TikTok, content assumed to promote user engagement is delivered in a hyperindividually curated manner through a proprietary algorithm. Mental health providers have raised concerns about TikTok's potential role in promoting inaccurate self-diagnoses, pathologizing normal behaviors, and fostering new-onset symptoms after exposure to illness-related content, such as tic-like movements linked to conversion or factitious disorders.

Primary coenzyme Q (CoQ) deficiency is a mitochondrial disorder with variable clinical presentation and limited response to standard CoQ10 supplementation. Recent studies suggest that 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (4-HBA), a biosynthetic precursor of CoQ, may serve as a substrate enhancement treatment in cases caused by pathogenic variants in COQ2, a gene encoding a key enzyme in CoQ biosynthesis. However, it remains unclear whether 4-HBA is required throughout life to maintain health, whether it offers advantages over CoQ10 treatment, and whether these findings are translatable to humans.

Purpose: Prior studies of vocal auditory-motor control in people with hyperfunctional voice disorders (HVDs) have found evidence of unusually large responses to auditory feedback perturbations of fundamental frequency (0) and more variable voice onset times in unperturbed speech. However, it is unknown whether people with HVDs perform similarly to people with typical voices when asked to make small changes in vocal parameters in volitional tasks. The purpose of this study was to compare performance on minimal movement tasks for 0 and intensity in people with and without HVDs.

This research paper explores the role of speaker, listener and real-time social attention for pronoun comprehension in autistic and nonautistic children in northeast United States. We assessed the pronoun comprehension of 22 autistic children (average age of 62 months, range 46-80 months) and 22 nonautistic children (average age 44 months, range 30-57 months) matched on expressive vocabulary scores. We evaluated first- and second-person possessive pronoun comprehension ("my" and "your") using a game in which two experimenters hid stickers and provided clues to their location by providing a verbal clue (e.
