Importance: Chronic kidney disease is common in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and is associated with higher rates of bleeding with anticoagulation. In the AZALEA-TIMI 71 randomized clinical trial, abelacimab, a novel factor XI inhibitor, reduced rates of major or clinically relevant nonmajor (CRNM) bleeding compared with rivaroxaban in patients with AF.
Objective: To examine the safety of abelacimab vs rivaroxaban across a range of kidney function.

Background: No pharmacological therapy has been shown with certainty to improve the cardiovascular prognosis in patients with kidney failure on chronic haemodialysis. We aimed to investigate the effects of the steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist spironolactone on cardiovascular outcomes in patients on haemodialysis who are at high risk of cardiovascular events.
Methods: ALCHEMIST was an investigator-initiated, multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, event-driven trial conducted at 64 university hospitals, general hospitals, and non-profit or private practice dialysis centres in France, Belgium, and Monaco.

Background: Measuring health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in dialysis patients is essential for clinical assessment and economic evaluation. Despite the emergence and increasing use of updated instruments, evidence comparing their performance in Chinese dialysis patients remains limited. The aim of this study was to compare the measurement properties of the EQ-5D-5L and the SF-6Dv2 instruments in Chinese patients on dialysis and to provide a reference for future utility scale choice for Chinese dialysis patients.

Background: Kidney transplantation represents a critical intervention for end-stage renal disease on a global scale. Many women of childbearing age who have received a kidney transplant express a significant desire to conceive. Nevertheless, the occurrence of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) following kidney transplantation remains infrequent.
