Herein, we report a cluster-scale CuFe heteroatom ensemble for electrochemical nitrate reduction to ammonia. The multisite interface reinforces electronic interaction with adsorbates, thus achieving a high NH yield rate of 10.51 mmol h mg and Faradaic efficiency of 93.28%, greatly surpassing its pure metal ensemble counterpart.
