Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by persistent hyperglycemia and associated with severe complications, including cardiovascular diseases, neuropathy, nephropathy, and retinopathy. Although synthetic antidiabetic drugs are available, the side effects and limited long-term effectiveness of these medications highlight the urgent need for safer, more potent alternative therapies. Background: Despite the availability of these therapies, maintaining long-term adherence remains a significant challenge.
Objective: This retrospective cohort study aimed to investigate 12-month and 5-year persistence with antidementia drug therapy in Germany and to examine the association between demographic and clinical variables and the risk of therapy discontinuation.
Methods: Patients aged 60 years or older from the IQVIA Longitudinal Prescription Database who received an initial prescription for antidementia therapy between 2016 and 2023 (index date) were included.

Diabetic infected wounds represent a formidable clinical challenge characterized by persistent hyperglycemia-induced pathological cascades that disrupt normal healing processes through multiple mechanisms including chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and microvascular dysfunction. As prototypical chronic wounds, they exhibit severely impaired tissue regeneration due to this multifaceted dysfunction in both skin architecture and biological function. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising next-generation therapeutic platforms owing to their exceptional structural tunability, multifunctional properties, and precise spatiotemporal drug delivery capabilities.

Imaging revealed an enlarged, avascular right adnexa with a solid lesion.
