This study aimed to identify brain activity modulations associated with different types of visual tracking using advanced functional magnetic resonance imaging techniques developed by the Human Connectome Project (HCP) consortium. Magnetic resonance imaging data were collected from 27 healthy volunteers using a 3-T scanner. During a single run, participants either fixated on a stationary visual target (fixation block) or tracked a smoothly moving or jumping target (smooth or saccadic tracking blocks), alternating across blocks.

Ischemic stroke (IS) has high morbidity/mortality with limited treatments. This study screened core copper homeostasis-related genes in IS and validated their function as precise intervention targets. Human IS gene chip data were retrieved from GEO, and copper homeostasis genes from multiple databases.

Objectives: Treatment delay can adversely affect cancer prognosis and public health. However, previous studies have not examined the association between cancer treatment delay and 5-year mortality risk for various cancer types in a single study population.
Methods: We used retrospective cohort data from 21 740 patients diagnosed with common cancers between 2000 and 2017, with mortality follow-up to 2022, from the Philippines' Department of Health-Rizal Cancer Registry to understand how treatment delay of <30, 30-90, or >90 days was associated with 5-year all-cause mortality risk, by cancer type and stage at diagnosis.

Background: Fibro-osseous lesions (FOL) of the jawbones and cemento-ossifying fibroma (COF) represent a heterogeneous group of lesions with overlapping histopathological features and variability in biological behavior. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the clinical, radiographic, and histopathological characteristics of FOLs (cemento-osseous dysplasia-COD, fibrous dysplasia-FD, ossifying fibroma-OF) as well as COF, diagnosed at a reference center in oral pathology over 53 years.
Methods: Sex, age, symptoms, clinical diagnosis, time of evolution, anatomical site, size of the lesion, and radiographic characteristics were collected from all cases of lesions previously diagnosed as FOLs.

Background: Radiotherapy is the mainstay of treatment for head and neck cancer (HNC) but may induce various side effects on surrounding normal tissues. To reach an optimal balance between tumour control and toxicity prevention, normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) models have been reported to predict the risk of radiation-induced side effects in patients with HNC. However, the quality of study design, conduct, and analysis (i.
