Studies have shown that excessive obstetric interventions such as induced labor and caesarean sections have contributed to the shortening of the length of gestation, leading to a left shift in gestational age (GA) at birth. The aim of this study was to analyze trends in GA and the contribution of associated factors to changes in São Paulo city, Brazil during the period 2012-2019. We conducted an observational time-series study of births in São Paulo using data from Brazil's national live births information system (SINASC).

Objective: To establish and validate a nomogram model for the quality of sleep in patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) and to evaluate its performance.
Methods: From January 2023 to June 2023, 484 RIF patients who underwent ART fertilization treatment at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Tongji University-affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were selected as the modeling set and internal validation. Additionally, from July to September 2023, 223 RIF patients who underwent ART fertilization treatment at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Tongji University-affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were chosen as the external validation set.

Background: Neonatal jaundice affects up to 60% of newborns, with pathological cases frequently associated with impaired bilirubin metabolism and gut microbiota dysbiosis. Although evidence implicates gut microbiota in bilirubin metabolism, the precise mechanisms remain incompletely characterized. This study investigated treatment-associated changes in gut microbiota composition, fecal metabolites, and liver function in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia.

Background And Objective: Preterm infants are characterized by immature cardiorespiratory systems and require continuous monitoring of physiological signals in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to assess their clinical condition and return alarms in critical situations. However, many alarms are false or clinically irrelevant, leading to alarm fatigue for nurses and clinicians. A particularly high false alarm rate is reported for central apneas (CAs), with precision as low as 0.

At the beginning of the twenty-first century, the primary view of infant visual attention development focused on a transition across the first postnatal year from being stimulus-driven to goal-driven, reflecting a broader shift from subcortical to cortical control. This perspective was supported by decades of infant looking-time studies. However, our understanding of infant attention has significantly evolved over the past 25 years, shaped by both theoretical advancements and new technological and methodological tools.
