Objective: It is becoming evident that the unique challenges faced by autistic drivers are contingent on the driving context and specific skills required. This meta-analysis examined the driving performance of both autistic and nonautistic drivers, aiming to clarify the reasons behind inconsistencies in published findings and identify the relative strengths and challenges faced by autistic drivers.
Method: This study was performed within a theoretical model of driving skills to break down the complex process of driving and identify specific strengths and challenges displayed by autistic drivers. Data were extracted from included studies, and a meta-analysis using random-effects models was conducted. Risk of bias was assessed, and sensitivity analyses were also conducted.
Results: The results from 16 studies suggested that autistic drivers show a small yet significant deficit in their overall driving performance compared with nonautistic drivers. Autistic drivers showed significant challenges and variation in performance at the operational level of driving compared with the tactical level of driving. Variation across driving performance was found to be related to licensure status but not age.
Conclusion: This paper was able to build upon prior work by clarifying strengths and challenges that are evident in autistic drivers and their driving performance. Notable differences were found to be most related to operational driving skills. These differences may subside with driving experience compared to nonautistic peers. Future studies should further assess potential reasonings for the variation seen across driving performance by examining the interplay of related factors.

Background: Out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCAs) are a leading cause of death worldwide, yet first responder apps can significantly improve outcomes by mobilizing citizens to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation before professional help arrives. Despite their importance, limited research has examined the psychological and behavioral factors that influence individuals' willingness to adopt these apps.
Objective: Given that first responder app use involves elements of both technology adoption and preventive health behavior, it is essential to examine this behavior from multiple theoretical perspectives.

This study investigated the correlation between the strength of correlated effective neural drive (END) to the antagonistic muscles and the fluctuations in neural/electrical and mechanical output around the joint during steady co-contraction, and whether the correlated END strength estimated from conventional surface EMG is correlated with that determined from motor unit (MU) discharges. Fourteen young male participants performed isometric steady co-contractions with their medial gastrocnemius and tibialis anterior muscles at 10% of maximal EMG while sitting. Correlated END strength was quantified as the maximum value of the cross-correlation function between the conventional surface EMG signals and between MU discharges decomposed from high-density surface EMG of each muscle.

Purpose: NOTCH3 is increasingly implicated for its oncogenic role in many malignancies, including meningiomas. While prior work has linked NOTCH3 expression to higher-grade meningiomas and treatment resistance, the metabolic phenotype of NOTCH3 activation remains unexplored in meningioma.

The processes of thermoforming 2D-printed electronics into 3D structures can introduce defects that impact the electrical performance of conductors, making them more susceptible to thermal failure during high electrical power/current applications on temperature-sensitive substrates. We therefore report the use of a thin-film boron nitride nanotube (BNNT) interlayer to directly reduce heat stress on linear and serpentine metallic traces on polycarbonate substrates thermoformed to 3D spherocylindrical geometries at varying elongation percentages. We demonstrate that the BNNT interlayer helps to improve the electrical conductivity of highly elongated thermoformed 3D traces in comparison to traces on bare polycarbonate.
