Background: Capgras syndrome (CS) is a rare delusional disorder characterized by the delusional belief that a relative has been replaced by an identical person. This syndrome is frequently associated with psychotic disorders and neurological diseases.
Case Presentation: In this case report, we describe a 42-year-old woman who developed Capgras syndrome following a severe upper respiratory tract infection.

Background: Gender mainstreaming in zoonotic disease prevention and control is paramount to produce sustainable solutions as well as keeping communities at the human-animal-environment interface safe and healthy. It is important to note that zoonoses register high mortality rates globally once they occur and they are highly transmissible. Hence this study aimed to explore the gender perspectives on zoonotic disease epidemiology using a (strength, weakness, opportunities and threats) SWOT analysis in Bundibugyo district, Uganda.

Rationale: Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) can present with neurological symptoms mimicking Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), posing a significant diagnostic challenge. Misidentification may lead to delayed or inappropriate treatment, increasing the risk of complications.
Patient Concerns: A 49-year-old man presented with flu-like symptoms and progressive paralysis of the left upper limb following a tick bite.
