In the recent literature soft tissue neoplasms which harbor a recurrent fusion and have an epithelioid morphology with resemblance to myxoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcoma (MIFS) have been reported. In a recent series these tumors had a nodular appearance and central necrosis and were termed nodular necrotizing variants of MIFS. But their exact relationship to MIFS and their biological behavior seem to be unclear. We report a fusion positive nodular and necrotizing tumor with a MIFS-like morphology and provide a review of the literature.

Background: Mixed-phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL) is a rare acute leukemia for which data are currently not available to guide therapy. It has a poor outcome, particularly in elderly patients.
Case Presentation: We report the successful use of venetoclax/azacitidine as treatment for a treatment-naive elderly patient with early T-cell precursor (ETP)/myeloid MPAL.

Background: Tumor deposits (TDs) are an important prognostic factor in rectal cancer. However, integrated models combining clinical, habitat radiomics, and deep learning (DL) features for preoperative TDs detection remain unexplored.
Purpose: To investigate fusion models based on MRI for preoperative TDs identification and prognosis in rectal cancer.

BACKGROUND Degenerative cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) is an age-related degenerative condition of the vertebral bodies, discs, and ligaments that can cause pressure on the spinal cord and nerves. Anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion is a widely used surgical approach for treating CSM, aiming to decompress the spinal cord, restore vertebral alignment, and improve fusion rates, thus providing relief to affected patients. This study was a neurological and biomechanical evaluation of 72 patients with degenerative CSM at 3, 6, and 12 months following anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion.

CD151 is a tetraspanin, abnormally expressed in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). It is a prominent component of exosomes, facilitating the secretion of proteins that promote metastasis and drug resistance. We have previously demonstrated that silencing the CD151 gene reduces metastasis in TNBC.

Soft tissue sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of malignancies arising from mesenchymal cells. Recent advancements in genomic profiling have identified novel gene fusions in these tumors, offering new insights into their pathogenesis and potential therapeutic targets. Here, we describe a spindle cell sarcoma harboring a novel gene fusion.
