Advancements in fungal taxonomy have been significantly enhanced by multilocus phylogenetic analyses, which improve the precision of species identification. This study also employs such methods to investigate the genus , resulting in the description of three novel species, viz. and belonging to the section and of section , from southern Punjab, Pakistan. Field collections yielded specimens that were examined morphologically and genetically, using a multilocus phylogenetic analysis utilizing sequences from the ITS, 28S, and regions. A combined phylogenetic tree was constructed through maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference methods, revealing three novel taxa occupying their respective distinct branches. Further, morphological analysis complemented the genetic data, with each species displaying unique characteristics. This study not only adds to the fungal biodiversity of Pakistan but also provides a robust framework for future taxonomic and ecological research in the region. In addition, we provide a key to the known species of in Pakistan.

We investigate the quasiparticles of a single nodal ring semimetal SrAs_{3} through axis-resolved magneto-optical measurements. We observe three types of Landau levels scaling as ϵ∼sqrt[B], ϵ∼B^{2/3}, and ϵ∼B that correspond to Dirac, semi-Dirac, and classical fermions, respectively. Through theoretical analysis, we identify the distinct origins of these three types of fermions present within the nodal ring.

Multilayer networks provide a powerful framework for modeling complex systems that capture different types of interactions between the same set of entities across multiple layers. Core-periphery detection involves partitioning the nodes of a network into core nodes, which are highly connected across the network, and peripheral nodes, which are densely connected to the core but sparsely connected among themselves. In this paper, we propose a new model of core-periphery structure in multilayer networks and a nonlinear spectral method that simultaneously detects the corresponding core and periphery structures of both nodes and layers in weighted and directed multilayer networks.

Introduction: There remains limited research exploring the experiences of informal carers from ethnically minoritised groups, particularly to illustrate perceptions of caring roles and challenges they may face to address unmet needs. While barriers such as language, cultural expectations and discrimination are acknowledged in wider literature, little is known about how these influence caregiving experiences or access to services in practice. This work seeks to better describe the barriers and facilitators impacting carers from ethnically minoritised groups, as well as illustrate possible influences of culture and carer identity affecting this under-researched population.

Unlabelled: Despite stimulating glucagon secretion, the mechanisms by which protein ingestion lowers glucose excursions remain unclear. We investigated this using the triple stable isotope glucose tracer technique to measure postprandial glucose fluxes. Eleven healthy adults completed three trials, ingesting 25 g glucose (25G; 100 kcal), 50 g glucose (50G; 200 kcal), or 25 g glucose plus 25 g whey protein (25WG; 200 kcal).
