This work aims at solving the problem of prevention and control of coal and gas outburst disasters that are dominated by stress in a deep coal seam. It is found that hydraulic slotting and gas extraction lead to double pressure relief for the coal seam stress and gas. A double pressure relief coefficient is proposed. Mechanical seepage experiments of horizontal fracture coal samples with different double pressure relief coefficients are designed ( = 0.5, 1.0, 1.5). This study determined the evolution mechanism and mathematical model of the macro-fine-microstructure of coal seam fracture under the action of stress and gas relief. The results show that the fracture of horizontal slot coal has a tendency to weaken gradually with the increase of the double pressure relief coefficient . The macrofracture plays a more dominant role than the microfracture. When = 1.0 (Δσ = Δ), the macrofracture is the most developed. When = 0.5 (Δσ = 0.5Δ), the mesofracture is the most developed. Before and after the experiment, the proportion of micropores and small pores is the largest, followed by the proportion of large pores, and the proportion of middle holes is the smallest. After the experiment, the proportion of medium and large pores increases, while the proportion of micro- and small pores decreases. The relationship between the fracture parameters and the double pressure relief coefficient is quadratic or cubic. The relationship between pore size and cumulative volume ratio is a logarithmic function. This study provides a scientific basis for double pressure relief and permeability improvement of stress and gas in coal seams, efficient extraction, and effective outburst prevention.

Despite having published seventeen novels, a good number of short stories, and scripts since she started her writing career at the end of the 1970s, academic work on Moggach's literary career has mainly dealt with her novel These Foolish Things (2004) and its film version The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011). This paper will focus on Moggach's last three novels in which the reader is guided by the voice of three women in their late sixties and seventies, namely Something to Hide (2015), The Carer (2019), and The Black Dress (2021). Following an already well-established body of criticism on representations of female ageing in fiction, this paper will argue that Moggach's last novels add nuance and richness to the representation of female ageing in the twenty-first century.

Background: Laparoscopic donor nephrectomy requires precise renal artery management for optimal outcomes. This study evaluates the performance and safety of automatic staplers in dividing renal arteries of various diameters.
Methods: Experimental tests were conducted using porcine arteries (3, 5, and 7 mm) to compare double- and triple-row staplers in terms of stapling completeness and pressure resistance.

Conventional acidizing struggles to remove complex, organic-rich scales in oil wells, and while strong organic solvents can help, their high cost and safety risks limit field use. To overcome these shortcomings, we developed a low-cost, safe permeability-enhanced-dispersion (PD) technique that first loosens and disperses the scale and then applies acid for thorough cleanup. The PD fluid (DL) contains a mutually soluble fatty alcohol amide phosphate dispersant (DL-F), ethanol, a surfactant blend, and a self-generating acid.
