Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are powerful analytical tools with diverse applications in research and medicine. However, the inherently poor signal-to-noise ratios induce technical limitations, which suppress their widespread use. Hyperpolarization enhances the NMR signals by inducing highly nonequilibrated population distributions among the nuclear spin states. We demonstrated real-time amino acid hyperpolarization using signal amplification by reversible exchange (SABRE). We aimed to hydrolyze hyperpolarized methyl esters to induce amino acid hyperpolarization. We successfully hyperpolarized 19 methylated amino acids via SABRE. This groundwork enabled the development of a predictive model for the hyperpolarization enhancement factors of methylated amino acids. The model accurately predicted the hyperpolarization of three synthetic methylated amino acids, paving the way for advanced bio-NMR and MRI applications requiring the immediate hyperpolarization of other amino acids. This research underlines the potential of hyperpolarization in overcoming the current limitations of NMR spectroscopy and MRI.

Methylation of histone H3 at lysine 9 (H3K9me), a hallmark of heterochromatin, is catalyzed by Clr4/Suv39. Clr4/Suv39 contains two conserved domains-an N-terminal chromodomain and a C-terminal catalytic domain-connected by an intrinsically disordered region (IDR). Several mechanisms have been proposed to regulate Clr4/Suv39 activity, but how it is regulated under physiological conditions remains largely unknown.

-Adenosyl-l-methionine (SAM) is well-known as a methyl donor for methyltransferases but also functions as a 3-amino-3-carboxypropyl (3-ACP) donor for 3-ACP transferases. NAT is a 3-ACP transferase which accepts β-lactam antibiotic nocardicin G () and SAM to produce isonocardicin C. Due to the lack of structural information about this enzyme, its reaction mechanism has not been fully identified.

The structure of the title compound, CHClN, was determined at low temperature (100 K). In the crystal, the mol-ecules are connected through C-H⋯N and C-H⋯Cl inter-molecular hydrogen bonds generating a network that extend along the [010] direction. In addition, C-H⋯π and π-π stacking inter-actions as well as inter-molecular contacts contribute to the cohesion of the structure.

A novel post-modification strategy was developed for rapid functionalization of monoliths through amino-yne click chemistry. This approach enabled the conjugation of activated alkynes onto amino-functionalized organic-silica hybrid monolith surfaces under mild, catalyst-free conditions. Early postoperative seizures, defined as occurring within 7 days after surgery, are a significant complication that occurs following neurosurgical procedures involving cerebral manipulation. As a result, short-term antiseizure medication is typically administered in Japan despite the lack of consensus regarding its prophylactic use. Perampanel hydrate, an α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptor antagonist, was recently introduced in an intravenous formulation in Japan, providing new potential for early postoperative seizures prevention during the perioperative period.
