Purpose: Asthma and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are two respiratory diseases that often may coexist, resulting in Alternative Overlap Syndrome (aOVS), which is still underestimated and underdiagnosed.
Objectives: This state-of-art review aims to describe the current evidence on aOVS, including its pathophysiology, clinical, functional and therapeutic implications. A secondary objective is to assess whether aOVS can be identified as a distinct endophenotype needing personalized diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is a demyelinating disease of the central nervous system (CNS) that manifests as optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, and cortical encephalitis. Some patients with MOGAD present with tumor-like brain lesions. However, hydrocephalus as an initial presentation is rare.

Background: While molecular and cytogenetic testing may change prognosis and guide treatment intensity for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), timing from diagnosis to treatment (TDT) on the other hand may impact treatment outcomes and survival. These considerations are sometimes at odds with each other given that molecular studies can take up to 2 weeks to result.
Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis was conducted at SUNY Upstate University Hospital to examine the effect of TDT on complete remission (CR) and overall survival (OS).
