Introduction: Page kidney causes secondary hypertension due to external compression of the renal parenchyma and renal hypoperfusion.
Case Presentation: A 21-year-old healthy man was diagnosed with hypertension during a medical examination 3 months after he had gotten a bruise at the right lumbar region. The patient's blood pressure was 176/120 mmHg. Computed tomography showed a large encapsulated cystic lesion around the right kidney and severe external compression of the renal parenchyma. Dimercaptosuccinic acid renal scintigraphy revealed decreased right split renal function. Therefore, the patient was diagnosed with a Page kidney. Percutaneous drainage of the hematoma was performed. However, the hematoma enlarged again. Capsulectomy was subsequently performed. The pathological findings revealed capsule fibrosis and hyperplasia of the capillaries in the inner capsule layer. After capsulectomy, the patient's blood pressure normalized.
Conclusion: Blood leakage from the fibrotic capsule likely maintained the hematoma. Capsulectomy is recommended in cases involving an encapsulated perineal hematoma.

The aim of this study was to compare the compressive forces generated by Dynamic Compression Angle-Stable Interlocking Nail (DCASIN) with those of traditional Dynamic Compression Plates (DCP) and Locking Compression Plates (LCP) using synthetic diaphyseal bone models (SDBM). Three groups were established based on the fixation method (G-DCASIN, G-DCP, and G-LCP), with implants fixed to SDBM simulating a transverse fracture, comprising 10 repetitions per group. A strain-gauge load cell was positioned in the SDBM gap to measure compressive forces in kilograms, recorded 30 s after the completion of each group-specific compression technique.

A 76-year-old woman presented with anterolateral ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction complicated by incessant ventricular arrhythmia. Angiography did not find obstructive coronary disease. Echocardiography demonstrated "double valve sign," pathognomonic of aortic dissection, which was subsequently confirmed on computed tomography.

Background: Gender inequalities in care of women with cardiopulmonary arrest may be due to lack of training with manikins representing the female thorax. Incorporating this feature in basic life support (BLS) training would support a more equitable and effective response.
Aim: To evaluate the impact of using female torso mannikins in BLS training for nursing students.

Self-assembled thin films respond to external loads via surface instabilities that are critical to their functionality in both biology and technology. Lipid monolayers at the air-liquid interface are one such system. Tunability between out-of-plane buckling (e.

Background: Sarcopenia and osteoporosis increase the likelihood of disability and caregiving burden. While progressive resistance training (PRT) is effective in mitigating these outcomes, patients often struggle to find suitable, long-term training facilities, making it difficult to adhere to exercise prescriptions.
Objectives: This feasibility study aimed to familiarize patients with PRT through educational training by a geriatrician, enabling them to identify a suitable long-term community-based training program.
