Chloropropanols and related substances have received a great deal of attention in the world. Regulation values have already been established in the EU for infant formula. There are several validated analytical methods for these substances, such as the AOAC official method. However, no analytical official method has been established for infant formula in Japan. In this study, the AOAC official method was improved to a more versatile splitless injection method in order to make it feasible for many laboratories. The results of the validation data for the improved method with optimized injection conditions were as follows. The limit of quantification was 10 μg/kg, the recovery rate ranged from 81.6 to 114.5%, and the intermediate precision ranged from 1.6 to 7.6%. These results were adapt to AOAC and EU requirement and demonstrated the good validity of the improved method.

Background: Molnupiravir, an FDA-approved antiviral for the treatment of COVID-19, requires reliable analytical methods to ensure its quality and safety due to its therapeutic importance.
Objectives: This study presents the development of a stability-indicating RP-HPLC method for estimating molnupiravir-related impurities in capsule formulations. An unknown impurity is structurally elucidated using LC-TQ/MS and 1H and 1³C NMR spectroscopy.

Introduction: Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) is a rare autoimmune disorder of the neuromuscular junction, with limited large-scale epidemiological data. In this study, we aimed to determine the epidemiological profile of LEMS in Türkiye, and to assess associated malignancies, mortality, and prescription rates of pyridostigmine and amifampridine.
Methods: We identified LEMS cases through a retrospective review of clinical records for individuals with a G73.

Background: This study examines trends in delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid (THC-COOH) positivity rates in pre-employment urine drug screenings at a single university-based hospital occupational medicine clinic from 2017 to 2022, following California's recreational cannabis legalization in 2016, with sales beginning officially on January 1, 2018.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of 21,546 de-identified urine drug screenings from 2017 to 2022 was conducted. Initial screening used instant urine drug immunoassays (50 ng/mL cutoff for THC-COOH), followed by confirmatory gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (15 ng/mL cutoff).

Objective: Modifiable health behaviors including tobacco and alcohol use, poor diet, and low physical activity increase risk for developing multiple cancers. Longitudinal research suggests that risky behaviors initiated in youth may persist into adulthood. This scoping review maps prospective longitudinal studies examining the continuity of these behaviors from youth into adulthood.

Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) remains a leading cause of mortality and long-term disability globally, with survivors at high risk of recurrent stroke, cardiovascular events, and post-stroke dementia. Statins, while widely used for their lipid-lowering effects, also possess pleiotropic properties, including anti-inflammatory, endothelial-stabilizing, and neuroprotective actions, which may offer added benefit in AIS management. This article synthesizes emerging evidence on statins' dual mechanisms of action and evaluates their role in reducing recurrence, improving survival, and mitigating cognitive decline.
