Background: Optimal oral care is essential in preventing non-ventilator hospital-associated pneumonia and enhancing patient comfort. However, nurses' clinical oral care practices for patients not on mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit are both underreported and understudied.
Aim: To explore intensive care nurses' clinical oral care practices for patients not on mechanical ventilation in intensive care units.

Preclinical stroke research faces a critical translational gap, with animal studies failing to reliably predict clinical efficacy. To address this, the field is moving toward rigorous, multicenter preclinical randomized controlled trials (mpRCTs) that mimic phase 3 clinical trials in several key components. This collective statement, derived from experts involved in mpRCTs, outlines considerations for designing and executing such trials.

Objective: This study applied the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF) to explore the barriers and enablers to optimizing post-operative pain management and supporting safe opioid use from the perspectives of both patients and health care professionals, applying the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF).
Design: Experience-based co-design (EBCD) qualitative study.
Methods: In the initial phase of the EBCD approach, focus groups were conducted comprising 20 participants, including 8 patients and 12 health care professionals involved in post-operative care.

Objective: This scoping review explores existing clinical guidelines on administration of benzathine benzylpenicillin (Bicillin L-A, Pfizer Australia) in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The objective is to understand existing delivery guidance to address variation in care and cultural safety considerations, to support messaging during periods of stockout and to inform planning for new administration techniques.
Data Sources: Semi-structured Google search to identify publicly available clinical resources for each jurisdiction of Australia and for New Zealand.

Eplet mismatch analysis offers a refined approach to assessing donor-recipient compatibility in kidney transplantation, surpassing conventional antigen-level human leukocyte antigen (HLA) matching in predicting immunologic outcomes. By identifying polymorphic amino acid residues on HLA molecules recognized by B cell receptors, this method quantifies immunologic risk. Clinical studies demonstrate that high eplet mismatch loads, particularly at HLA-DQ, are strongly associated with donor-specific antibody development, antibody-mediated rejection, and reduced graft survival.
