Post-acne erythema (PAE) is persistent erythema after acne vulgaris (AV) inflammatory lesions have resolved. Pulsed dye laser (PDL) is the gold standard for vascular lesions and is effective for PAE. Tranexamic acid (TA) can reduce vascular endothelial growth, angiogenesis, and inflammation by inhibiting plasminogen activity, and can be used in PAE treatment.

Department of Social Medicine and Health Management, School of Public Health,Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University, Jinan, China

Objectives: The presence of acne can significantly impact patients' health-related quality of life (HRQoL); however, the correlation between patient-reported HRQoL impairment and clinician-evaluated severity has been unclear. The objective of the study was to evaluate HRQoL in patients with different acne severity using generic, dermatology-specific and acne-specific instruments and investigate the correlation between clinical severity and HRQoL.

Design: Data for the cross-sectional survey were extracted from March 2017 to December 2018.

Background: Scalp psoriasis is a common condition that impairs quality of life (QoL). Trichoscopy is a valuable tool for diagnosis, but its correlation with disease severity or patient-reported outcomes, especially in Hispanic populations, remains unclear due to limited data. This study aimed to characterize the trichoscopic findings of scalp psoriasis in a Hispanic cohort and to evaluate their association with clinical severity and QoL measures.

Background And Objective: Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that is difficult to manage, requiring the use of biologic drugs such as anti-TNFα and anti-interleukin 17 (anti-IL17). The aim of our review is to evaluate the safety and efficacy profile of anti-IL17 drugs in patients with HS.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a systematic review with subsequent meta-analysis following the population, intervention, comparison, outcome and type of study (PICOS) method.

Background: Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated skin disease that significantly impacts patients' quality of life due to its physical, psychological, and systemic burden. Phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE-4) plays a pivotal role in the inflammatory cascade of the disease through the modulation of intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels. This systematic review evaluates current evidence on the clinical efficacy and safety of novel PDE-4 inhibitors in the treatment of psoriasis.
