The Smart Vaccination System introduces a vaccine reminder framework that is SMS-based and is intended to help parents ensure that their children's vaccinations are current. Although traditional methods rely on written schedules to organize vaccination appointments, these are frequently insufficient, as busy parents may neglect critical dates. A web-based vaccine reminder application has been created to address this challenge, providing timely notifications when a child's next vaccination is due. This system streamlines the process for parents, enabling them to remain proactive, informed, and organized regarding their child's health. The application ultimately contributes to enhanced public health outcomes by increasing the probability that children will be protected against preventable diseases by reducing missed vaccinations.

Background: Hispanic/Latina women in the United States have high rates of cervical cancer and little is known regarding how sociocultural factors might be related to their cervical cancer prevention behaviors.
Purpose: Two studies examined correlates of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine initiation, HPV vaccine completion, ever screening for cervical cancer, and being up to date with screening among screening- and vaccine-eligible Hispanic/Latina women.
Methods: Study 1 examined sociodemographic correlates of these behaviors using data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.

Nanopore direct RNA sequencing (DRS) is a transformative technology that enables full-length, single-molecule sequencing of native RNA, capturing transcript isoforms and preserving epitranscriptomic modifications without cDNA conversion. This review outlines key advances in DRS, including optimized protocols for mRNA, rRNA, tRNA, circRNA, and viral RNA, as well as analytical tools for isoform quantification, poly(A) tail measurement, fusion transcript identification, and base modification profiling. We highlight how DRS has redefined transcriptomic studies across diverse systems-from uncovering novel transcripts and alternative splicing events in cancer, plants, and parasites to enabling the direct detection of m6A, m5C, pseudouridine, and RNA editing events.

While maternal influences on childhood immunization have been extensively studied in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), paternal socioeconomic factors remain underexplored despite their potential impact on vaccination outcomes. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to synthesize current evidence on the influence of paternal characteristics on full childhood immunization status in SSA. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed, Google Scholar, Embase, and Scopus for studies published between January 2014 and March 2025.

Background: There is limited data on adult opinions toward school-based vaccination programs, which can supplement clinic-based strategies in the Brazilian public health system. Since 2016, vaccination rates among Brazilian children and adolescents have shown worrisome declines, remaining well below full coverage, including for more recently introduced COVID-19 vaccines. School vaccination programs are not commonly implemented or monitored in Brazil.
