Critical thinking is often regarded as one of the vital skills in the 21st century. In recent years, it has become important to combine this skill with other skills such as language learning, creativity, problem-solving, decision making, and reflective thinking. As language and thoughts are intertwined and influence each other, incorporating thinking skills into English Language Teaching (ELT) can enhance academic and professional success. The prime objective of the current study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of research on Critical Thinking (CT) in ELT from 2012 to 2022 by focusing on publication and research trends such as influential authors, globally cited documents, pertinent journals, leading countries, and significant affiliations. The current study also sheds light on the co-occurrence of keywords and thematic evolution through bibliometric analysis, examining 238 articles from Scopus and Web of Science databases using R studio (Biblioshiny). This bibliometric analysis highlights as the most pertinent journal with high citation count and China being the most cited country in this field. It also accentuates the interconnection between higher-order thinking skills, self-regulation, critical thinking, and critical reading. The thematic evolution of CT shows a shift from collaborative learning and CT (2012-2019) to language teaching and CT (2020-2022). It emphasizes the importance and the rising prominence of CT skills in language teaching. Moreover, this review will guide scholars and academicians to identify future research directions in the field of CT.

Applications driven by large language models (LLMs) are reshaping higher education by offering innovative tools that enhance learning, streamline administrative tasks, and support scholarly work. However, their integration into education institutions raises ethical concerns related to bias, misinformation, and academic integrity, necessitating thoughtful institutional responses. This article explores the evolving role of LLMs in midwifery higher education, providing historical context, key capabilities, and ethical considerations.

Background: Postgraduate education is embracing journal clubs (JCs), which provide a platform for members to critically evaluate research articles and extract evidence-based nursing practice. The implementation of JCs by postgraduate nurses, especially in varied educational contexts such as Egypt, remains underexplored. This study aimed to explore and gain valuable insights into the professional experiences of implementing JCs among postgraduate nursing students in Egypt.

This article presents a new set of semantic feature production norms, collected from 580 young adults, for 360 French concepts across various semantic categories. Although empirically derived feature norms have been developed for several languages and have been shown to be useful for investigating semantic memory and providing assessment tools, none are currently available for native French-speaking populations. In this study, the participants performed a property generation task in which they were asked to list features to describe the characteristics of each given concept (e.

Over the past several decades, decision-making research has been dominated by the study of binary choice tasks, with key models assuming that people remain equally cautious regardless of how long they have spent on the choice problem. Recent research has begun to place a greater focus on studying tasks with a continuous-response scale, as well as models that allow for decreases in caution over decision time; however, these research topics have remained separate from one another. For instance, proposed models of continuous-response scales have assumed constant caution over time, and studies investigating whether caution decreases over time have focused on binary choice tasks.

Technology's rapid evolution has made digital traces a common part of our lives, holding significant value for investigations and legal cases across various national jurisdictions. However, law enforcement and judicial systems often struggle to adapt to these changes, resulting in possible misinterpretations of digital evidence in criminal trials. Drawing on insights from a qualitative analysis of a terrorism-related court case, this research aims to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental challenges of decision-making in digital forensics and how they can impact a criminal case.
