UiO-66(Ce) was prepared from cerium metal, which could trigger Fenton-like reactions. A system DOX@UiO-66(Ce)@TA-Fe was constructed by coating a metal polyphenol layer (TA-Fe) on the surface of DOX@UiO-66(Ce), which was loaded with the anticancer drug doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX). It could produce reactive oxygen species to realize chemodynamic therapy and show stimuli-responsive drug release behaviors to realize chemotherapy. In addition, the system displayed biocompatibility to normal cells (L929 cells) and toxicity to cancer cells (MCF-7 cells), implying an ideal effect for multimodal cancer therapy.

In recent years, the incidence of orthopedic diseases has increased significantly, while traditional treatments often face limitations such as limited efficacy and pronounced side effects. The development of nanomedicine technology provides novel strategies for orthopedic disease treatment. As an emerging two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterial, black phosphorus nanosheets (BPNS) demonstrate remarkable potential in treating orthopedic diseases due to their unique physicochemical properties, superior biocompatibility, and the fact that their degradation product-elemental phosphorus-constitutes an essential component of bone tissue.

This study demonstrates the successful fabrication of nanostructured Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films combining the conjugated copolymer poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene--3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PDOF--PEDOT) with spherical and triangular silver nanoparticles (AgNP). The LB technique allowed precise control over the molecular arrangement and distribution of the nanoparticles at the air-water interface, resulting in compact, reproducible and structurally ordered nanocomposite films. The structural and morphological properties of the interfacial monolayers and LB films were investigated using surface pressure-area isotherms, Brewster angle microscopy, polarization modulation infrared reflection-absorption spectroscopy (PM-IRRAS) and quartz crystal microbalance.

Stainless-steel substrates have grown in importance in the development of planar sorptive phases. However, the reduced wettability of polished sheets makes difficult their functionalization. This limitation can be solved by using amorphous silica gel microparticles as superficial guides.

As the most dangerous mycotoxin, aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) has caused some food safety issues to be concerned. In this study, a simultaneous detection and degradation method towards AFB1 was established. Covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) were firstly synthesized and directly in situ deposited on the stainless-steel mesh, which would trigger the free-radical polymerization of acrylamide to form a hydrogel coating.
