The importance of breastfeeding for maternal and infant health is widely accepted. In this sense, the presence of macro and micronutrients in human milk ensures proper and safe infant nutrition, along with multiple bioactive molecules that modulate the newborn's immunity. Usually packaged within exosomes, miRNAs circulating in milk are bioavailable to breastfed infants.

Objective: Our understanding of the pathophysiology of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) remains incomplete, largely due to their historically underestimated incidence and the perception of these tumors as rare and slow-growing cancers. Additionally, conventional reliance on histological examination alone is gradually being supplemented by the exploration and introduction of molecular biomarkers, such as microRNAs (miRNAs). As miRNAs modulate the expression of multiple genes and pathways involved in the tumorigenesis of PanNETs, these biomarkers hold considerable promise for diagnosis and prognosis applications.

Background: Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is a rare inherited heart condition with structural and functional abnormalities of the right ventricle. Microribonucleic acids (miRNAs, miRs) could be a solution in detecting ARVC earlier, more commonly, and in a less invasive way.
Aims: We aimed to systematically review the current knowledge about the role of miRNAs in ARVC.

The hypothalamus is a vital regulator of energy homeostasis. Orexigenic neuropeptide Y (NPY) neurons within the hypothalamus can stimulate feeding and suppress energy expenditure, and dysregulation of these neurons may contribute to obesity. We previously reported that bisphenol A (BPA), an endocrine disruptor with obesogenic properties, alters transcription in hypothalamic neurons by inducing oxidative stress.
