Facial nerve injuries cause significant functional impairments, affect facial expressions, speech, and overall quality of life. This article explores advances in facial nerve regeneration, encompassing both conventional and emerging therapeutic strategies. The regenerative process involves Wallerian degeneration, axonal regrowth, and target muscle reinnervation, where the distal axon degrades and the proximal axon initiates sprouting to restore connectivity.

Functional high risk multiple myeloma (FHRMM) remains a challenging entity with poor outcomes and limited survival, and there is no international consensus on optimal second-line therapeutic strategies in relapsed/refractory patients. In this multicenter real-world retrospective study, we investigated clinical characteristics and outcomes of a total of 62 FHRMM patients previously treated with a first-line daratumumab-based quadruplet regimen or who relapsed within 12 months after frontline autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). In our cohort, the overall response rate was 61%, with 42% of patients achieving a very good partial response (VGPR) or better.

Introduction: medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction using an autologous quadriceps tendon graft to treat patellofemoral dislocation in the pediatric population is a surgical alternative that may offer advantages compared to other types of grafts. We assessed clinical and functional outcomes, rate of return to sport, and complications in a cohort of pediatric patients.
Material And Methods: retrospective and descriptive cohort study.

Objective: To compare 6- and 12-month results of femoral artery repair with xenopericardial and autologous venous patch in hybrid treatment of critical lower limb ischemia.
Material And Methods: A retrospective analysis included 60 patients with critical lower limb ischemia who underwent hybrid treatment (balloon angioplasty and stenting of iliac arteries and open reconstruction of femoral arteries). Patients were divided into 2 groups by 30 people depending on femoral artery repair (group 1 - autologous venous patch, group 2 - xenopericardial patch).
