Decreasing funding for nonhuman animal research decreases the opportunity for students and researchers to explore the behavior of many species in many contexts. In the long run, this will reduce variability within the experimental analysis of behavior around what species are being researched and what questions are being asked. New technologies, however, offer students and researchers the opportunity to observe the behavior of organisms in everyday environments in cost-effective ways.

Polydrug abuse is the persistent self-administration of more than one reinforcing drug. This research examines the impact of environmental (dis)amenities on residential rental values in the urban areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan. Using a unique dataset of 849 households and geospatial data on 35 irregular dumpsites, we quantify how proximity to environmental disamenities depresses rental prices. Specifically, results confirm that irregular dumpsites significantly depress rental values, especially for properties situated near the closest distance rings.

Robotic-assisted total joint arthroplasty (RA-TJA) is projected to account for 70% of all arthroplasties by 2030, yet its economic value and operational efficiency have yet to be thoroughly synthesized. While early literature emphasized technical precision, evolving payment models and implementation costs have shifted focus toward cost-effectiveness and workflow integration. To evaluate the economic and institutional viability of RA-TJA by synthesizing available evidence on capital costs, perioperative expenses, learning curves, throughput, and long-term adoption trends.

Background: Identifying the relationships among physical activity (PA), cognition, and academic performance in children is important for targeted public health and education initiatives. However, most of the research has been cross-sectional in nature, and we have a limited understanding of how these associations change over time. Therefore, the aim of this study was to utilize longitudinal data to explore relationships among PA, cognition, and academic performance in elementary school children.
