The production of phosphogypsum (PG), calcium carbide slag (CS), and red mud (RM) in global industrial development imposes serious environmental issues. Utilizing CS and PG as curing agents and incorporating RM as a soil substitute can facilitate the solid waste resource utilization. However, few studies have investigated the synergistic effects of PG and CS on the stabilization of RM and soil.

Background: The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in California introduced household food insecurity (HFI) screening during eligibility certifications in 2019. This study was conducted to evaluate the screening performance of the 2-item Hunger Vital Sign ™ Screener (HVSS2) for HFI during WIC eligibility certification visits in Los Angeles County (LAC), California.
Methods: Study participants completed a 6-item USDA Household Food Security Survey Module (HFSSM6) assessment in either the 2020 LAC WIC Survey (July-December 2021) or the longitudinal WIC Cash Value Benefit Study (April 2021-May 2022) and had WIC administrative HVSS2 screening data within 30 days of HFSSM6 measurement (n = 1,113).

Background: Novel therapies are crucial for patients with major depressive disorder, as more than 33% of patients do not respond to first-line treatments. A promising novel treatment strategy is an intensive 5-day course of personalized, functional connectivity-guided accelerated intermittent theta-burst stimulation (PAiT), modeled after the Stanford neuromodulation therapy protocol. This new form of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) may lead to higher remission rates in patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD).

This study aimed to develop a human factors assessment for medication-related clinical decision support (CDS) based on a previously validated tool that assessed the integration of human factors principles in CDS, the instrument for evaluating human factors principles in medication-related decision support alerts (I-MeDeSA), and pilot it with 10 outpatient clinics across the United States. The human factors assessment was developed based on past validations of I-MeDeSA. Examples included changing the wording of questions and reformatting answer choices to check-box options, allowing for multiple answer choices.

Background And Objectives: Higher white matter hyperintensity volume (WMHV) is associated with hippocampal atrophy, cognitive decline, and dementia; however, it is unknown whether continually increasing WMHV is related to hippocampal atrophy. The aim of this study was to determine whether higher WMHV change rate (WMHVR) is related to higher hippocampal atrophy rate (HAR); this relationship is dependent on cardiovascular risk factors (CVRFs), Alzheimer disease (AD) pathology, and genetic risk; and this relationship is mediated by neuroaxonal degradation.
Methods: Participants from Insight46, a substudy of the 1946 British Birth Cohort, underwent combined [F]florbetapir PET/MRI scans at University College London approximately 2.
