Accumulating evidence indicates that maternal exposure to carbon black nanoparticles (CBNPs) during gestation can induce multiple system abnormalities in offspring, whereas its potential mechanism in respiratory disease is still largely unknown. In order to explore the effect of maternal exposure to CBNPs on offspring's lung and latent pathogenesis, we respectively established in vivo model of pregnant rats exposed to CBNPs and ex vivo model of lung epithelial cells treated with pups' serum of pregnant rats exposed to CBNPs. After maternal exposure to CBNPs, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and fibrosis levels increased as a result of DDRGK1-mediated reticulophagy upregulated in offspring's lung. DDRGK1 as FAM134B's cargo bound with FAM134B to mediate reticulophagy. Transcription factor "SP1" positively regulated DDRGK1 gene expression by binding to its promoter. Furthermore, the upregulation of NSUN2 elevated mC methylation of SP1 mRNA and the protein level of SP1 subsequently increased through Ybx1 recognizing and stabilizing mC-methylated SP1 mRNA, followed by the increased levels of reticulophagy and fibrosis in lung epithelial cells treated with offspring's serum of matrix exposed to CBNPs during gestation. In conclusion, NSUN2/Ybx1/mC-SP1 axis promoted DDRGK1-mediated reticulophagy, which played an important role in EMT-induced fibrosis in offspring's lung tissue after maternal exposure to CBNPs during gestation.

The platelet protease-activated receptor 4 (PAR4) threonine 120 (Thr120) allele is an activating allele associated with reduced aspirin response in vitro. Aspirin is recommended in high-risk pregnancies to prevent preeclampsia and preterm birth. We evaluated the impact of PAR4 genotype on aspirin response in pregnancy, as measured by platelet function assay 100 (PFA-100) epinephrine closure time, and perinatal outcomes.

Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP), also known as polymorphic eruption of pregnancy, is a benign inflammatory dermatosis that typically presents in primigravid women during the third trimester of pregnancy. Postpartum onset is rare and often underrecognized. We report a case of a 29-year-old primigravida with a BMI of 38 kg/mwho delivered a healthy 4 kg male infant via emergency cesarean section for fetal distress.

Introduction: HIV risk perception is seen as a key motivation for individuals to use biomedical HIV prevention interventions, including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). We determined HIV risk perception and associated factors among pregnant and breastfeeding women in Lusaka, Zambia.
Methodology: We conducted a cross sectional study among pregnant and breastfeeding women not living with HIV in a hospital setting in Lusaka, Zambia.

Objective: To establish and validate a nomogram model for the quality of sleep in patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) and to evaluate its performance.
Methods: From January 2023 to June 2023, 484 RIF patients who underwent ART fertilization treatment at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Tongji University-affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were selected as the modeling set and internal validation. Additionally, from July to September 2023, 223 RIF patients who underwent ART fertilization treatment at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Tongji University-affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were chosen as the external validation set.

Background: Rising disparities in maternal-child healthcare are linked explicitly to outcomes based on patients' cultural identities. Those who receive universally available health care in the military are not immune from these disparities. Practicing cultural humility has been proposed as a tool for advancing equity through improved understanding of cultural factors that may impact a patient's healthcare.
