Food spoilage poses a global challenge with far-reaching consequences for public health, economic stability, and environmental sustainability. Conventional analytical methods for spoilage detection though accurate are often cost-prohibitive, labor-intensive, and unsuitable for real-time or field-based monitoring. Microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs) have emerged as a transformative technology offering rapid, portable, and cost-effective solutions for food quality assessment.

In this paper, we introduce a coarse-grained model of polymer crystallization using a multiphase-field approach. The model combines a multiphase-field method, Nakamura's kinetic equation, and the equation of heat conduction for studying microstructural evolution of crystallization under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. The multiphase-field method provides flexibility in adding any number of phases with different properties making the model effective in studying blends or composite materials.

Thin films of CuSn Gd S were prepared on soda-lime glass substrates using spin coating in a sulfur-rich environment. We investigated how doping CuSnS with gadolinium (Gd) affected its structural, morphological, and optical properties using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. XRD showed that all samples had a polycrystalline monoclinic structure, while FE-SEM revealed a mix of spherical and polygon-shaped grains.

Diabetic infected wounds represent a formidable clinical challenge characterized by persistent hyperglycemia-induced pathological cascades that disrupt normal healing processes through multiple mechanisms including chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and microvascular dysfunction. As prototypical chronic wounds, they exhibit severely impaired tissue regeneration due to this multifaceted dysfunction in both skin architecture and biological function. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising next-generation therapeutic platforms owing to their exceptional structural tunability, multifunctional properties, and precise spatiotemporal drug delivery capabilities.
