Urinary tract infections are one of the main complications in kidney transplant patients, with a significant impact on graft function and survival. In fact, it is estimated that up to 74% of kidney transplant patients experience at least one episode of UTIs in the first year after transplantation, with an increased risk of graft loss and an increased risk of mortality. Several risk factors have been identified, such as female gender, old age, diabetes mellitus, immunosuppression, pre-transplant UTIs, urinary tract abnormalities, and prolonged dialysis. The worsening burden of antimicrobial resistance is also in itself a risk factor and a major complication in evolution and management. The management of prophylaxis, asymptomatic bacteriuria, and UTIs is still an open challenge, with some points to be clarified. Faced with such scenarios, our review aimed to evaluate the current epidemiology, examine the risk factors, and consider all the possibilities and methods of management, giving a current view and evaluation of the topic.

Objectives: To investigate the mechanism of (QJZ) for ameliorating renal damage in MRL/lpr mice.
Methods: With 6 female C57BL/6 mice as the normal control group, 30 female MRL/lpr mice were randomized into model group, QJZ treatment groups at low, moderate and high doses, and prednisone treatment group (6). After 8 weeks of treatment, the mice were examined for 24-h urine protein, creatinine and albumin levels, serum levels of IgG, complement 3 (C3), C4, anti-dsDNA, interferon γ (IFN‑γ) and interleukin 17 (IL-17).

Objectives: In this study, we explored the mechanism by which DDIT4 influences the polarization phenotypic transformation of macrophages and inflammation through the regulation of mTOR signaling pathway, providing a new mechanism and target for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.
Methods: The degree of inflammation and injury in renal tissues of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) animal model was evaluated using biochemical assays, renal pathology examinations, and Western blot tests. Podocytes and macrophages were isolated from renal tissues to observe the extent of podocyte injury and the quantity and polarization phenotype of macrophage infiltration.

Material And Methods: Two hundred eight male bladder cancer patients were grouped into 98 RC followed by 43-W, 31-Y, and 23-IC in comparison to 110 PRC followed by 35-W, 37-Y, and 38-IC. The functional voiding outcomes were determined by detailed patients' interview and urodynamic studies (UDS).
