Mentalizing skills-the capacity to attribute mental states-play critical roles in word learning during typical language development. Introduction: Nutritional deficiencies in childhood can severely impact growth, making adequate micronutrient intake essential to prevent growth faltering. This study used an in-silico modeling framework to evaluate the impact of a micro-nutrient beverage (MNB) mix on growth, body composition, and strength in 7-to-9-year-old children within the 5th to 50th growth percentiles and diverse baseline anthropometries.
Methods: The model was validated against national datasets (IAP 2015 and ICMR NIN 2024) before predicting the effects of a micro-nutrient beverage (MNB) mix on a virtual population of Indian children.

Importance: Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a tauopathy mostly observed following a history of repeated impact-type head injury, usually from contact sports. The overwhelming majority of published, high-stage CTE cases are in older, former high-level contact sport athletes. CTE was infrequent in a large case series of brains donated by military service members, wherein it was most often of minimal severity, while being unanimously present in former contact sport participants.

This case report presents a comprehensive postural evaluation of a 9-year-old paediatric patient with unilateral right crossbite and an associated visual defect. Postural assessments were performed using a vertical laser line (VLL) and a baropodometric-stabilometric platform, revealing significant postural alterations, including cervical extension, increased dorsal kyphosis, pelvic rotation, and an asymmetrical distribution of plantar load. The Romberg test indicated a visual system dysfunction, confirmed by ophthalmologic and orthoptic examinations, which identified mild myopic astigmatism and convergence insufficiency.

Aims: Assessment of islet autoimmunity and presymptomatic type 1 diabetes (T1D) among children from the general population of North-Eastern Poland.
Materials And Methods: Venous blood samples have been collected from 3575 children aged 1-9 years and analysed in a stepwise procedure starting with 3 Screen Islet Cell Autoantibody ELISA and IAA ELISA. Next, samples found positive in either test were verified for individual autoantibodies.
