There is a growing body of evidence regarding the clinical significance of PLMS, and this movement disorder is of concern in both clinical and scientific contexts. Leg actigraphy is a convenient and promising method for screening periodic limb movements in sleep (PLMSs). This study aims to demonstrate the reliability of the SOMNOwatch™ actigraph for detecting periodic limb movements in sleep. Twenty-eight patients, referred to a sleep laboratory for various sleep problems, underwent nocturnal polysomnography with simultaneous one-sided actigraphy using the SOMNOwatch™ actigraph. Recordings of leg movements obtained from both methods were manually scored, calculating the periodic limb movement index (PLMI). The agreement between the methods was assessed through correlation analysis and event-by-event comparison. The correlation between the PLMI derived from PSG and SOMNOwatch™ was high and statistically significant (r = 0.98, < 0.0001). The SOMNOwatch™ demonstrated a sensitivity of 86.7% and a specificity of 92.3% in detecting PLMS. Similarly, for detecting patients with a PLMI equal to or greater than 15, the sensitivity was 85.7%, and the specificity was 95.2%.

Introduction: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common sensorimotor disorder that primarily affects the lower extremities. This condition is characterized by unpleasant sensations and an irresistible urge to move the affected body regions, typically during periods of rest or at night. While RLS most commonly involves the legs, atypical variants affecting other body parts, including the arms, abdomen, face, and even the head, have increasingly been reported.

Unlabelled: Bariatric surgery has emerged as a highly effective treatment option for individuals with obesity. Severe hypoalbuminaemia is a feared complication after a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. It is characterised by a low serum albumin level of <25 g/l, neither explained by renal losses, protein-losing enteropathy nor by liver disfunction, and is associated with high morbidity and mortality.

Background: Drape-forming is a cost-effective method used worldwide to manufacture bespoke ankle foot orthoses (AFOs). It involves draping a heated polymer material sheet over a positive cast of the user's limb. Previous research has shown that the manual nature of drape-forming can influence the thickness of the final AFO and even lead to structures that are inadequately rigid to be clinically effective.

It is due to deposition of sodium monourate driven by hyperuricemia. The association of humours with causation stems from Hippocrates (460-370 BCE).

Purpose: Teleangiectatic osteosarcoma is a histologic subtype of osteosarcoma that can mimic aneurysmal bone cysts and has so far been incompletely characterized.
Patients And Methods: We used the database of the Cooperative Osteosarcoma Study Group COSS (patient-registration 1980-2019) to better understand this rare histologic variant.
Results: 223 eligible patients were identified, 164 having reference pathology (median age 15.
