The methanium CH is a prototypical fluxional ion whose infrared spectra remain unassigned. Here we report on the infrared spectra of CH cations and its deuterated isotopomer, CHD, in helium droplets at a low temperature of 0.38 K. The ions were produced upon protonation of CH molecules, a technique that was developed in this work. The spectra of CH around 3000 cm show two strong and broad infrared bands and a weak shoulder, reflecting its highly fluxional nature. The spectrum of CHD shows a much sharper infrared band, indicating a partial quenching of the exchange of H/D atoms. This work also reports on the infrared spectrum of the methane dimer radical cations (CH).

Changes in waxed dry cheese during the ripening process, over periods of 7 and 30 days, were analysed using near-infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR) and mid-infrared spectroscopy (FT-MIR) by attenuated total reflection (ATR). FT-NIR was employed to determine the proximate composition of the cheese (protein, fat, moisture, total solids, and salt content), identifying changes directly associated with the ripening process. FT-MIR data were used to identify spectral bands associated with chemical changes occurring during the cheese maturation.

Against the backdrop of global carbon neutrality target driving the transformation of energy structure, alcohol fuel cells (AFCs) show great application potential; However, the sluggish kinetics of their anodic alcohol oxidation reaction hinders the commercialization of AFCs. Metallene is a novel 2D material with potential application prospect in the field of electrocatalysis. In this paper, PdMoW trimetallene has been successfully produced by a one-pot wet-chemical method, which displays a unique two-dimensional curved ultrathin graphene structure.

Background: Endometriosis diagnosis is challenging due to non-specific symptoms that overlap with other gynaecological conditions. This study proposes a non-invasive Machine Learning (ML) ‒ based urine test using Attenuated Total Reflection Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy for rapid, high-throughput screening.
Methods: A total of 302 symptomatic patients presenting with pelvic pain and MRI referral indications were recruited.

In this study, infrared spectroscopy investigations in combination with DFT calculations were used to elucidate interactions between bosentan monohydrate (BOS) and sildenafil base (SIL) initiated under high energy ball milling. The research was focused mainly on the vibrational properties of their co-milled binary solid dispersions compared to the physical mixtures and single drugs. First, the stability and structure of sildenafil isomers were established.
