Article Abstract

Hi-C can obtain three-dimensional chromatin structure information and is widely used for genome assembly. We constructed the GutHi-C technology. As shown in the graphical abstract, it is a highly efficient and quick-to-operate method and can be widely used for human, livestock, and poultry gut microorganisms. It provides a reference for the Hi-C methodology of the microbial metagenome. Background: Direct admission can help reduce emergency department crowding, improve patient satisfaction, and decrease costs, yet there is opportunity to improve standardized processes to do so safely and efficiently. We designed and implemented a new process for urgent direct admission (UDA) at our children's hospital with the SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) aim to increase the number of UDAs between transfer to an intensive care unit (ICU) within 12 hours from direct admission by 50% in 12 months.

Methods: We compared unanticipated ICU transfers within 12 hours of admission (outcome) before and after implementing a standardized UDA process.

Due to limited literacy among root-level farmers, hydroponic farming in Bangladesh faces significant challenges. Therefore, there is a demand for easy-to-use technical systems to help farmers to monitor and operate smart systems. To address the issue, this study introduces a robust hydroponic system that provides automatic guidelines, monitoring, and a disease detection system.

Deep learning methods using convolutional neural networks are very effective for automatic image segmentation tasks with no exception for cellular electron micrographs. However, the lack of dedicated easy-to-use tools largely reduces the widespread use of these techniques. Here we present DeepSCEM, a straightforward tool for fast and efficient segmentation of cellular electron microscopy images using deep learning with a special focus on efficient and user-friendly generation and training of models for organelle segmentation.

With the development of sequencing technologies, chromosome-level genome assemblies have become increasingly common across various organisms, including non-model species. BLAST + is one of the most widely used bioinformatics tools for computing sequence alignments, offering numerous optimizations for speed and scalability. Dot plots, which visualize the similarity between two sequences, are widely used in biological research.
