Herein, ball-milled magnetic biochar-vermiculite composite (MBC@VT) and ball-milled magnetic biochar-zeolite composite (MBC@ZT) were synthesized via one-step ball-milling, and their adsorption capacities for Pb(II)/P-nitrophenol (PNP) in water were compared. The results demonstrated that the removal of Pb(II) and PNP through both materials was a complex, endothermic reaction mainly driven by chemisorption, with strong tolerance to pH changes and co-existing ions. MBC@VT showed superior adsorption for Pb(II) (reaching 367.

Introduction: Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) may contribute to Alzheimer's pathology at early disease stages. GFAP moderation of Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related neurodegeneration and cognition is unclear.
Methods: We examined plasma GFAP moderation of AD biomarkers (amyloid beta [Aβ]-positron emission tomography [PET][A]; plasma phosphorylated tau-181 [p-tau181][T]), neurodegeneration (plasma NfL[N]; structural magnetic resonance imaging [MRI][N]), and cognition (Cog; Cog) in two cohorts: University of California San Francisco (UCSF) (N = 212, 91.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to describe the imaging features on dynamic CT and MRI of a series of pathologically confirmed low-grade vascular neoplasia of the liver (LGVNL).
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective multicenter study, patients diagnosed with pathologically proven LGVNL between January 2014 and August 2024 and with cross-sectional imaging (CT or MRI) were included. Based on prior studies, we divided the patients into two groups: a group with typical LGVNL features and a group with atypical tumors.

Abstract: The Morel-Lavallée lesion (MLL) is a rare closed degloving injury resulting from traumatic shearing forces that separate subcutaneous tissue from underlying fascia, creating a cavity filled with blood, lymph, and inflammatory exudate. Typically occurring in regions where skin can glide significantly over rigid structures, such as the thigh, MLLs present as fluctuant, boggy, sometimes painful lesions, which result from disrupted lymphatic and vascular structures. The lesion evolves through an inflammatory cascade leading to eventual encapsulation by dense fibrotic tissue.

Breath-hold ECG-gated cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging is challenging during exercise due to motion, ECG-problems, and lengthy scans. To facilitate time-resolved volumetric measures from exercise-CMR, we aimed to develop a method for constructing time-resolved ventricular cines from real-time free-breathing exercise-CMR. Time-resolved ventricular cines were semi-automatically constructed from real-time exercise-CMR by identifying end-expiratory timeframes, identifying one R-R interval within these timeframes, and synchronizing R-R intervals across slice positions.
