In this research paper, we explored the predictive capabilities of three different models of Polynomial Regression (PR), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB), and LASSO to estimate the density of supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO) and the solubility of niflumic acid as functions of the input variables of temperature and pressure. The optimization of hyperparameters for these models is achieved using the innovative Barnacles Mating Optimizer (BMO) algorithm. For SC-CO density estimation, PR exhibits remarkable accuracy, showing an R-squared value of 0.99207 for data fitting. XGB performs admirably with an R of 0.92673, while LASSO model demonstrates good predictive ability, showing an R of 0.81917. Furthermore, we assess the models' performance in predicting the solubility of niflumic acid. PR exhibits excellent predictive capabilities with an R of 0.96949. XGB also delivers strong performance, yielding an R-squared score of 0.92961. LASSO performs well, achieving an R-squared score of 0.82094. The results indicated promising performance of machine learning models and optimizer in estimating drug solubility in supercritical CO as the solvent applicable for pharmaceutical industry.

This review highlights the integration of drug repurposing and nanotechnology-driven delivery strategies as innovative approaches to enhance the antifungal activity of statins against mucosal candidiasis, providing a framework for future translational research and clinical application. The rising prevalence of antifungal resistance and virulence factors of Candida albicans underscore the limitations of current therapies. Statins, commonly used as lipid-lowering agents, have emerged as attractive repurposed drug candidates due to their ability to interfere with fungal ergosterol biosynthesis and Ras-mediated signaling pathways.

In modern drug discovery, there is a pressing need for rapid, cost-effective, and accessible methods to evaluate the biological activities of newly synthesized compounds. Traditional kinase assay platforms are often labor-intensive, time-consuming, and require specialized equipment or expertise. To address these limitations, we developed and validated a convenient in vitro kinase assay based on a recombinant biosensor, Picchu-B, constructed using a bacterial expression system.

Objective: To prepare astragaloside IV dripping pills (ASDP) and assess their therapeutic effects on mice with doxorubicin hydrochloride-induced dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).: Astragaloside IV (AS) exhibits pharmacological effects in treating cardiovascular diseases, however, its clinical application is hindered by poor solubility and low bioavailability. The study sheds light on new therapeutic strategy of DCM and development of AS formulations.

The synthesis of tirzepatide relies heavily on solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), a process that is both costly and time-consuming. In this paper, a novel soluble liquid-phase assisted (LPPS) strategy for the efficient synthesis of tirzepatide is presented. The efficacy of the method is based on the distinct solubility properties of the soluble tag, which enables high yield synthesis while significantly reducing wastage of amino acids and solvents.
