Patients And Methods: Two fresh-frozen, whole-body cadaveric shoulders underwent a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (rTSA) on the humeral side using an internal proprietary load-sensing system (LSS) (Goldilocks, Statera Medical, Montreal, Canada). In addition to three "complex" Activity Daily Life positions ("behind the back", "overhead reach", and "across the chest"), four standard postures (external rotation, extension, abduction, and flexion) were used to record the glenohumeral loads (Newtons) and their locations applied to the implant.

Brachial plexus block at the interscalene level is a regional anesthetic technique widely used to provide analgesia in shoulder and upper extremity surgery; However, it is associated with a high incidence of phrenic nerve block with diaphragmatic paralysis which has clinical implications in patients with underlying respiratory disease, showing respiratory difficulty symptoms. As consequence, it has been contraindicated in certain population groups. Once diaphragmatic paralysis and respiratory symptoms are established, management is supportive and expectant.

Bedrock fault dislocations significantly influence the rupture instability of rock and soil slopes adjacent to fault zones. Understanding the dynamic processes, kinematic characteristics, and genesis mechanisms of landslides induced by strong seismic fault dislocations is crucial for advancing the theoretical framework of landslide studies. This paper presents a representative experiment simulating the emergence of seismic faults (internal rupture belts within the soil mass) at the shoulders and toes of slopes due to bedrock fault dislocations.

Introduction: Treatment approaches and functional outcomes have been shown to be influenced by a patient's socioeconomic status in certain orthopaedic pathologies. In patients with proximal humerus fractures (PHFs), this study aimed to evaluate the relationship between social deprivation and (1) treatment strategy-including the choice between surgical and nonsurgical management, as well as the type of surgical intervention-and (2) patient-reported outcomes.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 275 displaced PHFs from a level 1 trauma center.
