Pancreatic cancer (PC) is notoriously resistant to both chemotherapy and immunotherapy, presenting a major therapeutic challenge. Epigenetic modifications play a critical role in PC progression, yet their contribution to chemoimmunotherapy resistance remains poorly understood. Here, we identified the transcription factor ZEB1 as a critical driver of chemoimmunotherapy resistance in PC.

Synthesis, preclinical evaluation and clinical application of a novel heterodimeric tracer Ga-pentixafor-c(RGDfK) for PET-CT imaging.

Eur J Nucl Med Mol Imaging

September 2025

Department of PET-CT/MRI, NHC Key Laboratory of Molecular Probe and Targeted Theranostics, Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital, Harbin, 150081, Heilongjiang, China.

Objective: CXCR4 and integrin αβ play important roles in tumor biology and are highly expressed in multiple types of tumors. This study aimed to synthesize, preclinically evaluate, and clinically validate a novel dual-targeted PET imaging probe Ga-pentixafor-c(RGDfK) for its potential in imaging tumors.

Methods: The effects of Ga-pentixafor-c(RGDfK) on cell viability, targeting specificity, and affinity were assessed in the U87MG cells.

The advantage of periodic over constant signalling in microRNA-mediated regulation.

Nucleic Acids Res

September 2025

Department of Applied Science and Technology, Politecnico di Torino, Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24, 10129 Torino, Italy.

Cells may exploit oscillatory gene expression to encode biological information. Temporal features of oscillations, such as pulse frequency and amplitude, are determinant for the outcome of signalling pathways. However, little effort has been devoted to unveiling the role of pulsatility in the context of post-transcriptional gene regulation, where microRNAs act by binding to RNAs and regulate their expression.

Global wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) production faces significant challenges due to the destructive nature of leaf (Puccinia triticina; leaf rust [Lr]), stem (Puccinia graminis; stem rust [Sr]), and stripe (Puccinia striiformis; stripe rust [Yr]) rust diseases. Despite ongoing efforts to develop resistant varieties, these diseases remain a persistent challenge due to their highly evolving nature.

Objective: The key molecular events signifying the -induced gastric carcinogenesis process are largely unknown.

Methods: Bulk tissue-proteomics profiling were leveraged across multi-stage gastric lesions from Linqu ( = 166) and Beijing sets ( = 99) and single-cell transcriptomic profiling ( = 18) to decipher key molecular signatures of -related gastric lesion progression and gastric cancer (GC) development. The association of key proteins association with gastric lesion progression and GC development were prospectively studied building on follow-up of the Linqu set and UK Biobank ( = 48,529).
