Following the publication of this paper, for the western blots shown in Fig. 1A, where the expression levels of salt‑inducible kinase 1 were detected in ovarian cancer tissues, it was drawn to the Editor's attention by a concerned reader that the β‑actin loading controls for patients 4, 6 and 7 were strikingly similar in appearance. Moreover, several of the protein bands in this figure were strikingly similar to data which subsequently appeared in another paper written by different authors at different research institutes that was published in the journal , although this paper has since been retracted.

Background: In England, people aged > 60 are typically required to pay for their prescriptions. Whilst exemption criteria enable people living with specified long-term health conditions to receive free prescriptions, Parkinson's disease is omitted from this list. People with Parkinson's are often reliant upon medications, and evidence suggests that medical fees can reduce quality of life and medicine adherence.

Background/objective: This study explores a novel approach for diagnosing common middle ear pathologies using Pressure-Less Acoustic Immittance (PLAI™), a non-invasive alternative to conventional tympanometry.

Methods: A total of 516 ear measurements were collected and stratified into three age groups: 0-3, 3-12, and 12+ years, reflecting key developmental stages. PLAI™-derived acoustic parameters, including resonant frequency, peak admittance, canal volume, and resonance peak frequency boundaries, were analyzed using Random Forest classifiers, with SMOTE addressing class imbalance and SHAP values assessing feature importance.

Introduction: The corona mortis (CM) artery or ("crown of death") is a vascular anastomosis between the obturator artery and either the external iliac or inferior epigastric artery. An anastomosis is defined as one or more vessels that merge with other vessels before dividing. The CM's clinical significance arises from its potential of bleeding you can have if injured while performing any pelvic or acetabular surgeries.
