Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder marked-among other features-by impairments in response inhibition, a complex cognitive process assessable through tasks that either involve conflict suppression (C tasks) or do not (no-C tasks). Previous research has linked impaired response inhibition in ADHD primarily to structural and functional abnormalities in fronto-striatal and fronto-parietal networks. However, it remains unclear how these neural circuits differentially support performance on C and no-C tasks in individuals with ADHD.

Verbal fluency provides a unique index of the functional architecture of control functions because it reflects the interactions between executive processes and lower-level language processes. However, an evaluation of the number of correct words alone does not enable one to determine precisely which processes are impaired. This study investigates post-stroke fluency impairments, focusing on previously unexplored indices and their neuroanatomical correlates using voxel-based lesion symptom mapping (VLSM).

Emerging evidence suggests that autobiographical memory (ABM) is altered in Huntington's disease (HD). While these impairments are typically attributed to frontostriatal dysfunction, the neural substrates of ABM impairment in HD remain unexplored. To this end, we assessed ABM in 30 participants with genetically confirmed HD (18 premanifest, 12 manifest) and 24 age-matched healthy controls.

Introduction: Corrective feedback can be received immediately after an action or with a temporal delay. Neuroimaging studies suggest that immediate and delayed feedback are processed by the striatum and medial temporal lobes (MTL), respectively. Age-related changes in the striatum and MTL may influence the efficiency of feedback-based learning in older adults.
