Article Abstract

, belonging to the family and genus , is used in traditional Chinese medicine and is rich in beneficial components, such as flavonoids. As its abundant medicinal value has become increasingly recognized, its excessive development poses a considerable challenge to wild germplasm resources, necessitating artificial cultivation and domestication. Considering these factors, a high-quality genome of was assembled and the evolutionary relationships within were compared, based on which 58 individual samples of were re-sequenced. We found that the samples could be categorized into three purebred populations and regions distributed at distinct elevations. Our varieties were cultivated from the parental populations of the subpopulation in central Yunnan. is speculated to have originated in the high-altitude Tibetan Plateau region, and that its combination with flavonoids can protect plants against ultraviolet radiation; this infers a subpopulation with a high accumulation of flavonoids. This study assembled a high-quality genome and provided a theoretical foundation for the future introduction, domestication, and development of cultivated varieties of .

Background: Recurrent Implantation Failure (RIF) is defined as the inability to establish pregnancy despite high-quality embryo transfer after the application of at least three consecutive in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer procedures. Chromosomal abnormalities are one of the primary reasons for pregnancy failure, miscarriage, and birth defects in both natural conception and IVF pregnancies. This study was to evaluate the incidence of chromosomal abnormalities in peripheral blood samples from 100 couples who experienced RIF.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play crucial roles in plant growth, development, and stress responses. With the advancement of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) technology, it is now possible to investigate lncRNA expression and function at single-cell resolution. Although several plant single-cell transcriptome databases have been established, they predominantly focus on protein-coding genes while largely overlooking lncRNAs.

The wrentit (Chamaea fasciata) is a chaparral and scrub specialist bird found from coastal Oregon to northern Baja California. We generated a draft reference assembly for the species using PacBio HiFi long read and Omni-C chromatin-proximity sequencing data as part of the California Conservation Genomics Project (CCGP). Sequenced reads were assembled into 1342 scaffolds totaling 1.

Unlabelled: , the greater Bermuda land snail, is a critically endangered species and one of only two extant members in its genus. These snails are one of Bermuda's few endemic animal clades and their rich fossil record was the basis for the punctuated equilibria model of speciation. Once thought extinct, recent conservation efforts have focused on the recovery of the species, yet no genomic information or other molecular sequences have been available to inform these initiatives.
