Objectives: To quantify intraoperative pulmonary arterial catheter (PAC) use during cardiac surgery and identify hospital-, anesthesiologist-, and patient-level factors associated with PAC utilization.
Design: A cross-sectional, observational study using generalized logistic mixed models to examine variations in PAC use.
Setting: Fifty-three US academic hospitals participating in the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG) national registry PARTICIPANTS: 145,343 adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2022.

Blinatumomab is a bispecific T-cell engager that has recently transformed front-line treatment for many patients with Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)-negative B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). It was originally studied in relapsed/refractory disease, then moved to targeting measurable residual disease (MRD), and has since been shown to improve outcomes for almost every age group when added to consolidation chemotherapy. The evidence supporting blinatumomab is most robust in adult and standard-risk pediatric age groups, but its benefit in adolescents and young adults and high-risk pediatric patients is not yet understood.

Background: Breast-conserving surgery (BCS) is the primary surgical approach for patients with breast cancer. The accurate determination of surgical margins during BCS is critical for patient prognosis; however, time constraints and limitations in current pathological techniques often prevent pathologists from performing this assessment intraoperatively. The inability to reliably assess margins during surgery can lead to incomplete tumor removal and the need for additional surgeries.

Introduction: Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF) is based on a less-invasive access corridor through the retroperitoneum and psoas muscle, though concerns persist over postoperative weakness and neuropathy on the surgical side. This study investigates if the trans-psoas LLIF approach is associated with long-term changes in psoas morphology, hip flexor (HF) weakness, and lower extremity dysesthesia.
Methods: The authors retrospectively reviewed all LLIF cases at a single institution from January 2016 to June 2024.
