The natural product α-santonin was first used as an anthelmintic agent for animals and human beings with remarkable therapeutic effects; however, there are fewer reports and applications on its structural optimization and derivatives in the field of agrochemicals. Here, we designed and synthesized a series of novel α-santonin-based oxazole derivatives, evaluated their insecticidal activities against common pests, including Walker, Sulzer, and Linnaeus, and preliminarily explored the insecticidal mechanism. It was found that exhibited the strongest GI activity against , with the final corrected mortality rate of 96.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the main neurodegenerative disorder affecting motor activity, there are different pathophysiological pathways contributing to its development including oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, Lewy's bodies accumulation, and impaired autophagy. Vinpocetine is an herbal extract with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities that may counteract pathophysiologic neurodegeneration pathways. Moreover, Lactobacillus is a probiotic that can modulate the gut-brain axis and provide the body with the needed precursors of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory mediators.
