Objective: To report the clinical features, cranial imaging findings, treatment approaches and outcomes of pediatric acute necrotizing encephalopathy (ANE) to improve early diagnosis and treatment strategies of this rare but severe condition.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of nine children with ANE, admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Women's and Children's Hospital of Ningbo University (2019-2024) was performed. Clinical presentations, laboratory results, neuroimaging results, treatment modalities, and outcomes were retrospectively evaluated.

Active removal of space debris is an emerging technology aimed at sustaining space activity in Earth orbit by mitigating the risk of collisions between operational satellites and debris. Utilizing a bi-directional magnetic nozzle (MN) radiofrequency (rf) plasma thruster has been proposed to remediate and remove debris from the Earth orbit, where the debris is decelerated by continuously exerting a force to the debris by a plasma beam ejected from the thruster, and zero net force exerted to the thruster is simultaneously maintained by ejecting a second plasma beam to the opposite direction, maintaining the distance between the satellite and the debris. Previous laboratory experiment has demonstrated bi-directional plasma ejection from a single MN rf plasma thruster having two open source exits for symmetric magnetic field configuration having fairly straight magnetic field lines in the insulator source tube wound by a rf loop antenna.

In this study, HfZrO (HZO) thin-films were deposited using a Co-plasma atomic layer deposition (CPALD) process that combined both remote plasma and direct plasma, for the development of ferroelectric memory devices. Ferroelectric capacitors with a symmetric hybrid TiN/W/HZO/W/TiN electrode structure, incorporating W electrodes as insertion layers, were fabricated. Rapid thermal annealing (RTA) was subsequently employed to control the crystalline phase of the films.

Aiming at the goal of preparing high-quality coatings, this paper reviews the progress on circular arc source structure and magnetic field arc controlling technology in arc ion plating (AIP), with a focus on design characteristics of the different structures and configuration optimization of the corresponding magnetic fields. The circular arc source, due to its simple structure, convenient installation, flexible target combination, high cooling efficiency, and high ionization rate and deposition rate, has shown significant application potential in AIP technology. In terms of magnetic field arc controlling technology, this paper delves into the design progress of various magnetic field configurations, including fixed magnetic fields generated by permanent magnets, dynamic rotating magnetic fields, axially symmetric magnetic fields, rotating transverse magnetic fields, and multi-mode alternating electromagnetic coupling fields.

Efficient and accurate characterization of gaseous jets and laser-induced plasmas plays a crucial role in implementing laser wakefield accelerator setups and other laser-plasma-based experiments. Interferometry is largely used worldwide as a diagnostic tool to measure these target profiles and densities. In this work, we describe the underlying algorithms of a publicly available software that retrieves the density profile of cylindrically symmetric gaseous jets and laser-induced plasmas from interferograms.
