Metabolic synergy between astrocytes and neurons is key to maintaining normal brain function. As the main supporting cells in the brain, astrocytes work closely with neurons through intercellular metabolic synergy networks to jointly regulate energy metabolism, lipid metabolism, synaptic transmission, and cerebral blood flow. This important synergy is often disrupted in neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and stroke.

In the national innovation system, the synergistic development of technological and management innovation in megaprojects plays a critical role in achieving high-quality project delivery. This study aims to develop a quantifiable three-dimensional coordination measurement framework to explore the collaborative mechanisms between technological and management innovation and validate practical applicability. First, key influencing factors of both technological and management innovation are identified through a systematic literature review and expert interviews.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a composite nanozyme system (Au/PB-Ce6-HA) based on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and Prussian blue nanoparticles (PBNPs) to combat tumor hypoxia and insufficient endogenous hydrogen peroxide (HO) deficiency, thus enhancing the efficacy of sonodynamic therapy (SDT) and starvation therapy for liver cancer.
Methods: The Au/PB-Ce6-HA system was constructed by in situ embedding AuNPs on PBNPs, loading the sonosensitizer Chlorin e6 (Ce6), and surface-coating with thiolated hyaluronic acid (HA-SH). The system was evaluated both in vitro and in vivo to assess its ability to catalyze glucose to generate HO, decompose HO to produce oxygen, and generate highly toxic reactive oxygen species (ROS) under ultrasound irradiation.

Background: Neoantigen-based vaccines show promising therapeutic potential in solid tumors such as melanoma, GBM, NSCLC, and CRC. However, clinical responses remain suboptimal in stage IV patients, due to ineffective T-cell function and high tumor burdens. To overcome these limitations, our study investigates a combination strategy using neoantigen peptide vaccines and precision critical lesion radiotherapy (CLERT), which delivers immunomodulatory doses to key tumor regions synergistically enhance immune activation and inhibit progression in multifocal stage IV patients.

Massively parallel sequencing (MPS) has caused a paradigm shift in forensic DNA analysis by enabling simultaneous examination of multiple genetic markers with higher resolution. Despite its growing importance, adoption in the 11 Southeast Asian countries remains limited. This paper reviews MPS implementation in forensic DNA laboratories across the region and discusses key adoption challenges.
