Methods of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) are typically used to resolve structures of vitrified biological specimens using both single particle analysis (SPA) and tomographic methods and use both conventional as well as scanning transmission modes of data collection. Automation of data collection for each method has been developed to different levels of convenience for the users. Automation of methods using the conventional TEM mode has progressed the furthest. Beam-image shift strategies first used in data collection for SPA were shown to be equally valuable for cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET). Machine learning methods have been applied for target selection and for planning optimal paths of data collection for SPA. These methods also enabled automated screening. Apertures matching the square shape of cameras have been recently described. Some progress has also been made in the automation of cryo applications of scanning TEM, promising an increase of throughput and potential for further improvement.

Misophonia is a condition characterized by intense negative emotional reactions to trigger sounds and related stimuli. In this study, adult listeners (N = 15) with a self-reported history of misophonia symptoms and a control group without misophonia (N = 15) completed listening judgements of recorded misophonia trigger stimuli using a standard scale. Participants also completed an established questionnaire of misophonia symptoms, the Misophonia Questionnaire (MQ).

Importance: Previous data suggest that the time changes associated with daylight savings time (DST) may be associated with an increased incidence of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
Objective: To determine whether the incidence of patients presenting with AMI is greater during the weeks during or after DST and compare the in-hospital clinical events between the week before DST and after DST.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This cross-sectional study examined patients enrolled in the Chest Pain MI Registry from 2013 to 2022.

Importance: As obesity rates rise in the US, managing associated metabolic comorbidities presents a growing burden to the health care system. While bariatric surgery has shown promise in mitigating established metabolic conditions, no large studies have quantified the risk of developing major obesity-related comorbidities after bariatric surgery.
Objective: To identify common metabolic phenotypes for patients eligible for bariatric surgery and to estimate crude and adjusted incidence rates of additional metabolic comorbidities associated with bariatric surgery compared with weight management program (WMP) alone.

Indigenous Peoples experience the highest age-adjusted prevalence of type 2 diabetes of any racial group in the U.S. Though the management of type 2 diabetes requires regular healthcare visits, North American Indigenous individuals with diabetes do not always utilize the healthcare available to them, and this lack of utilization may lead to poor health outcomes over time.

Young adults use a combination of coping strategies to deal with challenges. Yet, limited research has focused on these combinations, as they differ across different profiles of youth and their implications during the major life transitions of emerging adulthood. Addressing this gap, the present longitudinal person-centered study assesses the nature, stability, predictors (stressful life events, sex), and outcomes (affect, attitude toward life, physical symptoms) of coping profiles during this period.
