The MiniMed™ 780G system (780G) received Conformité Européenne mark in June 2020 and was, recently, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (April 2023). Clinical trials and real-world analyses have demonstrated MiniMed™ 780G system safety and effectiveness and that glycemic outcomes (i.e., time in range) improve with use. In this publication, we will explain the iterative development of the 780G algorithm and how this technology has simplified diabetes management.

Aims: To assess the frequency and management of hypoglycaemia during unstructured physical activity (PA) in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) using automated insulin delivery (AID) systems in real-life settings.
Materials And Methods: RAPPID is a prospective, multicenter, observational study conducted over 1 month in four French tertiary care centres. Adults with T1D using one of three AID systems (MiniMed 780G, Tandem t:slim X2 with Control-IQ, or Ypsopump with CamAPS FX) and performing ≥2 unstructured PA sessions per week were included.

Management of diabetes mellitus in hemodialysis is highly complex due to increased glycemic variability and hypoglycemic risk. The use of technologies applied to diabetes has been shown to improve glycemic control, however data in dialysis patients are limited. To describe the efficacy and safety of the minimed 780G AHCL system in a stable hemodialysis patient and during hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

This case report describes a 25-year-old woman with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) who developed Addison disease (AD). The diagnosis was suspected due to a significant decrease in insulin requirement and recurrent hypoglycemia despite adjustments in insulin pump therapy. The patient exhibited typical clinical features of AD, including hyperpigmentation and electrolyte imbalances.

Background: Structured diabetes education plays a crucial role in the management of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), especially with advanced technologies such as continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII). This study evaluates the impact of tailored education on adherence and glycemic control among pediatric CSII users.
Patients And Methods: This interventional analytical study included 30 patients diagnosed with T1D with age ranged from 5 to 18 years, recruited from Diabetes & Endocrinology Clinic at tertiary university-based children's hospital.

The present study assessed the impact of the disposable Simplera Sync™ sensor with the MiniMed™ 780G (MM780G) advanced hybrid closed-loop (AHCL) system on type 1 diabetes (T1D) glycemic metrics, insulin delivery, and safety. Youths (aged 7-17 years) and adults (aged 18-80 years) with T1D were enrolled in this single-arm, nonrandomized study at 24 sites in the United States. Participants began with an ∼2-week run-in period where hybrid closed-loop (HCL; auto basal only) or open-loop insulin delivery was used, followed by an ∼3-month study period with AHCL activated.
