Purpose: Unhealthy behaviors can accelerate the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a community-based integrated care program in modifying key unhealthy behaviors among CKD patients in rural Thailand and to assess the impact of these behaviors on the rate of kidney function decline.

Patients And Methods: This is a post-hoc analysis of the ESCORT-2 trial, which is a 3-year prospective cohort study that enrolled 914 patients with CKD stages 3-4 in rural Thailand.

Purpose Of The Review: This review aimed to summarize current evidence on the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in the management of obesity and endometriosis, with a focus on dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean and Ketogenic diets, as well as nutritional supplementation. Additionally, it highlights the central role of the clinical nutritionist in implementing individualized, evidence-based interventions within multidisciplinary care.

Recent Findings: Although the literature reports the existence of an inverse relationship between risk of endometriosis and body mass index, clinical evidence jointly reports that a condition of obesity is associated with greater disease severity.

Introduction: Preventive measures have been implemented in hospitals during COVID-19, but how these guidelines affected mental health among healthcare workers (HCWs) remains to be determined. On another note, reliable psychological and blood-based markers are needed to promptly identify HCWs at-risk to develop distress. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) originating from brain cross the blood-brain barrier and are detectable in blood, giving them a highly valuable potential for biomarker discovery.

Over recent decades, the indiscriminate use of antibiotics in animal production to enhance product quality and maximize economic returns has raised critical concerns. However, antibiotic misuse has led to the development of antimicrobial resistance in livestock and poses substantial health risks to humans through drug residue accumulation. In response, nations globally have progressively implemented bans on antibiotic inclusion in animal nutrition, redirecting scientific attention toward antibiotic-free feed additives that maintain or enhance animal health performance.

In order to understand Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance attributed to Electromagnetic Fields (IEI-EMF), it has been argued that it is crucial to test for effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on biomarkers, given that they can be more objective than symptom reports. While no clear evidence links RF-EMF exposure to biomarker changes, research remains limited and largely speculative due to the lack of known bioeffect mechanisms. However, there is in vitro evidence that cortisol is affected by heating, which, as RF-EMF causes heating, raises the possibility that RF-EMF exposure may increase cortisol via thermally mediated processes.
