Background: Animal models of nerve compression have revealed neuroinflammation not only at the entrapment site, but also remotely at the spinal cord. However, there is limited information on the presence of neuroinflammation in human compression neuropathies. The objectives of this study were to: (1) assess which tracer kinetic model most optimally quantified [C]DPA713 uptake in the spinal cord and neuroforamina in patients with painful cervical radiculopathy, (2) evaluate the performance of linearized methods (e.

Introduction: Reperfusion failure (RF) describes a condition in which patients suffering a large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke present insufficient tissue reperfusion and recovery despite optimal mechanical thrombectomy (MT) results. Approximately 50% of patients suffering from LVO are affected. Our current understanding of the underlying pathomechanisms is limited and mostly based on rodent models.

Introduction: Several studies indicate that a specific genotype profile could influence ovarian sensitivity to exogenous gonadotropin. However, most of the previous studies were observational and retrospective and thereby more prone to bias. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of gonadotropin single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on the outcomes of fertilization (IVF) in infertile patients undergoing their first ovarian stimulation (OS) cycle.

Context: Cardiometabolic complications are increasingly recognized in congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) due to 21β-hydroxylase deficiency, but adult data remain limited.
Objective: To evaluate cardiovascular and metabolic alterations in adult patients with classic CAH under glucocorticoid treatment, compared to matched controls.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on adults with classic CAH and sex- and BMI-matched controls.
