School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health, University of Glasgow, British Heart Foundation Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre, Glasgow, UK.
Aims: To help avoid therapeutic inertia, we developed a pragmatic treatment score (QUAD Score) for use in daily practice by healthcare professionals managing patients with a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) < 50% and heart failure. We now investigate the association between achieved QUAD scores and 1 year outcomes.
Methods: This was a multicentre cohort study in consecutive patients with incident heart failure and LVEF <50%, who completed therapy titration between January 2021 and June 2023.

Aims: Despite therapeutic advancements, the prognosis of heart failure (HF) remains poor, with high rates of mortality and readmission, particularly following a HF exacerbation. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a nurse-coordinated multidisciplinary comprehensive HF management programme on HF patients.
Methods And Results: This retrospective cohort study involved patients admitted for acute HF exacerbation at a regional hospital in Hong Kong.

Background And Aims: Data on cardiovascular outcomes and aortic growth in pregnant women with Turner syndrome is limited. We examine the cardiovascular and pregnancy outcomes in these women and analyze aortic growth throughout pregnancy.
Methods: The ROPAC III is a global, prospective, observational registry that enrolled pregnancies of women pre-pregnancy known with Turner syndrome from 2018 to 2023.

Background: Diagnosing infective endocarditis (IE) is a significant challenge. This study aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of the 2015 and 2023 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the 2023 International Society for Cardiovascular Infectious Diseases (ISCVID) Duke clinical criteria in a cohort of patients with suspected IE and intracardiac prosthetic material.
Methods: This retrospective study was conducted at 2 Swiss University Hospitals (2014-2024).

Aims: The diagnosis of peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is often delayed due to the absence of disease-specific biomarkers. Recently, serum proteins-QSOX1, adiponectin (ADIPOQ) and ITIH3-have shown potential for improving diagnostic accuracy, especially when used with NT-proBNP. However, the influence of ethnicity on their expression remains unclear.
